KUWAIT, July 17 (KUNA) -- The visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Friday to the Police Officers' Club was a source of pride and joy for all workers of the Ministry of Interior, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
In a meeting with Ministry of Interior officials, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled said that the visit by His Highness the Amir gives all those who work for the ministry added impetus to excel in their duties.
Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled praised highly the conferring of medals and sashes of honor on a number of leaders at the ministry, pledging continuous work to guard the safety and security of the nation.
"The safety and security of the nation is at the head of our priorities, requiring all of us to remain vigilant, work hard, and be at the highest levels of readiness," he said.
He emphasized that the recommendations by His Highness the Amir which he gave at his visit to the Officers' Club were highly appreciated and would be taken into full consideration as the ministry of Interior forges ahead in its national duties.
While Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled noted that the police and security forces have proven their prowess and dependability, he nevertheless urged them to abide fully and completely by the letter of the law and not to prevaricate from that. (end) hrz.ajs
