KUWAIT, June 27 (KUNA) -- Spokesman of oil sector Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries raised security alert to maximum degree after the terrorist bomb attack on Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque, downtown Kuwait City, midday Friday.
"Since the start of the military operations in Yemen, the Kuwaiti oil sector have strengthened the security measures and put the oil facilities on red alert in collaboration with the security services following the mosque blast," Sheikh Talal told KUNA last night.
"All KPC sites, including the oil fields and refineries, operate normally and regularly under the tightened security measures," he said, noting that these sites constitute the engine of the Kuwaiti economy.
