Oil leakage at Abdullah port refinery - KNPC

KUWAIT, May 30 (KUNA) -- An oil leakage took place Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Abdullah Port Refinery in one of the industrial water treatment unit tanks, Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced.
Two of the refinery's workers initiated the anti-leak plan immediately after discovering the leakage, KNPC said in a statement, adding that have they also asked for Kuwait Oil Company's (KOC) help to control the leakage.
KOC's boats entered the location of the leakage, where affected area is currently being treated, it said, noting that KNPC is to investigate the incident, reasons behind it, and ways to prevent recurrence. (end) osj.ma
