TEHRAN, May 29 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti national men's water polo team beat Tunisia 10-7 on Friday in the 5th edition of the FINA World Men's Water Polo Development Trophy held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
The Tunisian team scored three goals in the first half, while Kuwait netted a sole goal in the same period and could equalize 5-5 at the end of the encounter.
The Kuwaiti team won the game 10-7 in the penalty shootout, ranking the seventh place in the tournament that includes several teams.
In a statement after the match, Kuwait's coach said that it was a dramatic game and at the end the team was lucky to beat the rivals, adding he was very happy for this win.
Iran meets Uruguay in the final later today in Tehran, which is hosting the championship on May 24-29. (end)
