Heat wave deaths in South India crosses 750

NEW DELHI May 26 (KUNA) -- Death toll in two south Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh due to the scorching heat wave has crossed 750 people. The Asian News International (ANI), an Indian news agency based in New Delhi, reported on Tuesday Andhra Pradesh reported 551 deaths and the neighboring Telangana lost 213 lives due to the heat wave.
Maximum temperature in Telangana was reported in the Raagundam city, at 44.8 degree Celsius, amid warnings from the Meteorological department that Adilabad, Khammam, Nalgonda and Karimnagar districts would come under fresh heat-wave attacks today.
Maximum temperature in Andhra Pradesh was recorded in Prakasam districtm at 46.8 degrees Celsius. (end) atk.rk
