TUNIS, May 25 (KUNA) -- A random shooting by a serviceman in the Bushusha barracks, Bardo on Monday, killed four people, including the shooter, and wounded over fifteen others, according to a medical source in the Tunis military hospital quoted by Tunisian News Agency (TAP).
No confirmation has been given so far regarding the nature of the incident, the agency added. A Defense Ministry press conference is scheduled later today.
A serviceman opened fire this morning on his colleagues inside the Boushusha military barracks, spokesman for the National Defense Ministry Colonel-Lieutenant Belhassen Oueslati was quoted by the agency earlier today.
The Anti-Terrorist Brigade is checking the surroundings and inside the mosque near the barracks.
Meanwhile, spokesman for the Interior Ministry Mohamed Ali Laroui said: "No shooting took place near the mosque and the situation is under control." (end)
