CAIRO, May 23 (KUNA) -- Chiefs of staff of Arab armies condemned, during their second meeting on Saturday, the "terrorist" attack on Imam Ali Mosque in al-Qedaih village in Saudi Arabia's eastern Al-Qatif governorate that killed and injured scores of people on Friday.
Egypt's Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy, head of the meeting, on behalf of the conferees offered sincere condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and people of the Kingdom over the incident.
"We announce that such acts will not weaken our resolve to uproot terrorism from our countries and make our peoples live in peace and security," Hegazy said. A suicide bomber blew himself up inside the mosque during the Friday prayers, killing and wounding dozens worshippers.
Security authorities of the kingdom said they will spare no effort in the pursuit of all those involved in this "terrorist crime". (end) msh.mfm.rg.hm
