Mortar attack kills three Libyan medics in Benghazi

TRIPOLI, May 1 (KUNA) -- Three medics were killed and seven others wounded as a mortar shell hit the ambulance service on Street 20 in Benghazi city, northeast Libya, on Friday evening.
The victims were admitted into Al-Jalaa hospital, a medical source told KUNA, noting that the dead include an ambulance driver.
A similar mortar attack killed two young brothers in Al-Hada'eq neighborhood on Monday.
The city has been the scene of frequent indiscriminate shelling and fierce clashes between the Libyan army and Ansar Al-Sharia militiamen who are besieged in some districts inside the city. (end) nam.gb
