KUWAIT, April 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Radio is keen on expanding cooperating with US media outlets, said a Kuwaiti official here Monday.
After meeting with US Ambassador to Kuwait Douglas A. Silliman, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Information Sheikh Fahad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah told KUNA that the meeting with Ambassador Silliman came to commemorate a year since the launch of the "gate to America" show broadcasted on Al-Shabab "the youth" radio.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Mubarak said that the show, which hosted the US Ambassador, was an initial step that would further boost cooperation between the Ministry of Information and the US Embassy.
On his part, Ambassador Silliman said that he was glad to have met with Sheikh Fahad Al-Mubarak, lauding the effort he put in to bring the gate to America show on the air.
Regarding his participation, Ambassador Silliman said that he briefed the show's hosts about his diplomatic career and explained the process of selecting diplomats at the state department. (end) na.gta
