Information Minister emphasizes constructive dialogue with the youth

KUWAIT, April 25 (KUNA) -- The Arab Media Forum's 12th session, held on April 25-27, genuinely underlines cooperation between government officials and the youth for boosting constructive dialogue, said the Minister of Information on Saturday.
Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, also the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, affirmed that the supreme political leadership advocates dialogue at such level for Kuwait's development and social stability. Practically, this approach is being observed via the Ministry of State which has launched the dialogue, partially, with holding conventions to serve such purposes.
The minister was speaking at a seminar, held on sidelines of the forum, themed "the youth dialogue." Priorities of sustainable development entail investment in the youth potentials and creating a new generation capable of holding purposeful dialogue, he added.
For his part, Madi Khamees, the Forum Secretary General, said the new session groups some 1,000 figures, in addition to representatives of Arab and foreign media institutions, major newspapers, magazines.
The forum was first launched in 2003, with aim of providing a platform for interaction among Arab journalists and media personnel. It is held under sponsorship of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. Themes of the forum, partially, tackle electronic communications. (end) has.tb.rk
