Health Ministry executive Dr. Talal Al-Tammar
KUWAIT, April 23 (KUNA) -- The government is up to the task of improving healthcare services for the elderly, Health Ministry executive Dr. Talal Al-Tammar said Thursday.
Speaking at an event to announce the launch of a health awareness event for elderly in Al-Hamra tower on Friday, Al-Tammar told KUNA that the event would provide some medical tips for senior citizens and offer some basic medical tests for mall visitors.
There are around 45,168 elderly people in Kuwait according to official statistics on June 2014 with some 12,000 elderly in the capital area alone. (end)
