Kuwait oil price climbs to nearly USD 58 pb

KUWAIT, April 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwait oil price rose USD 0.57 to USD 57.86 per barrel, in Friday' trades, compared to USD 57.30 pb on Thursday, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said on Saturday.
In international oil markets, price of the crude forward deals dropped from the highest level it reached this year, however it retained the highest gains per week this year.
Brent crude jumped 9.6 percent, during the week, posting the highest gains per week since middle of October, 2009. American crude posted the fifth consecutive gain per week, climbing by 7.9 percent, the highest since late February 2011.
Forward deals for the Brent closed Friday's session with a USD 0.53 drop, settling at USD 63.45 pb. The American crude forward deals dropped USD 0.97 to USD 55.74 pb. (end) osj.hb.rk
