KISR's strategy to keep up with latest scientific developments -- Director

KUWAIT, April 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) will embark on its 2015-2020 strategic plan to keep up with the latest developments in the world of science, said KISR Director Dr. Naji Al-Mutairi here Tuesday.
Speaking at the opening press conference for KISR's strategic plan, Al-Mutairi said that was part of the institute's overall 2010-2030 strategy, adding that it was important to further develop the institute to meet the ever growing scientific demands.
Regarding the 2015-2020 strategy plan, Al-Mutairi said that the KISR was eager to build strong partnership with regional and international scientific institutions, exchanging expertize and further developing the scientific scene in Kuwait.
The plan also is eager to launch a fund aimed at helping researchers to carried out their scientific studies and reports, said Al-Mutairi, noting that KISR is also focusing on the establishment of four centers to further develop research in the fields energy, oil, water, and environment protection.
KISR is looking in measures to market its research to add some flavor to the local economy, said Al-Mutairi, adding that commercial department for institutes was established to carry out such goals. (end) zak.gta
