Al-Beaijan urges instilling Islamic values in students

KUWAIT, April 13 (KUNA) -- Chairman of the Kuwaiti National Committee for Education, Science and Culture Abdul Latif Al-Beaijan stressed here on Monday the importance of the role of the educational system in the face of violence and in the promotion of Islamic values and citizenship in the hearts of students.
Al-Beaijan said, at a press conference to announce the start of the fourth cultural season for 2015 on Wednesday, which lasts until May 5, 2016, that the new season features programs, seminars and events with new topics including a seminar on freedom of the media and its impact on national policy and cyber crime.
He said that Assistant Undersecretary for Media Planning and Cognitive Development in the Ministry of Information Mohammed Al-Awash and Deputy Director-General for Editorial Affairs in Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Saad Al-Ali in addition to a number of secondary students in Lubna bint Al-Hareth School will take part.
He said an introductory film about violence and the role of youth in development will also be displayed in the presence of a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Education. (end) mls.tab.tg
