MOSCOW, March 25 (KUNA) -- At least three people were killed and six others injured when their bus hit a landmine in east Ukraine on Wednesday.
The accident took place near Artemivsk town in Donetsk Oblast province, the Russian Interfax news agency reported tonight, citing Ukrainian security sources.
The bus, carrying 26 passengers, was traveling from Artemivsk to Horlivka; its driver tried to bypass a checkpoint set by the pro-Russian separatists on the road but hit the landmine.
The conflict in the separatist region has claimed more than 6,000 lives since last April. (end)
