NA approves bill on comptrollers' body

KUWAIT, March 25 (KUNA) -- The National Assembly approved on Wednesday a proposed bill for establishing a financial aontrollers' body and referred it to the government.
The proposal received 45 votes in favor, out of the attending 46, as one refrained.
It bill consists of 29 articles in four chapters.
The first chapter offers definitions, while the second covers formation of the body and its goals. The third defines domains and powers, and the last comprises general provisions.
The first article identifies entities to be subject to the would-be body in the ministries, government departments and other offices with independent or attached budgets. (end) jy.amn.tb.msa
