KUWAIT, March 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti-Russian Joint Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation began its fourth session meetings at the Kuwait Ministry of Oil headquarters on Tuesday. The meetings will last for three days.
The ministry of oil has hosted a high-level delegation from the Russian Federation to hold these meetings, where the Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Omair heads the Kuwaiti side, while Minister of the Russian Federation on the development of the far East, Alexander Galuska, leads the Russian side, the Ministry of oil said in statement to KUNA.
The statement added that sub-committees began meetings yesterday. They will continue today discussions on cooperation between the Kuwaiti and Russian sides in the fields of oil and gas, energy and investment cooperation in addition to financial cooperation as well as industry in scientific and technological field.
The ministerial session will begin tomorrow its meetings, headed by the Minister Al-Omair and the Russian Minister. During tomorrow's meeting, there will be a signing of the minutes which contains the areas of cooperation between the two countries in accordance with what was agreed upon in the sub-committees, it added.
The Kuwaiti-Russian Joint Committee was formed by the Council of Ministers Resolution number 481 of its meeting held on the 7th of June 1995, and the Ministerial Resolution number (10) for the year 1996. (end) asj.tb.ss
