One person killed, another injured in Libyan Misrata city

TRIPOLI, March 16 (KUNA) -- One person killed and another injured in an improvised car bomb explosion targeting a security base in the Libyan city of Misrata on Monday.
The Municipal Council announced strict security measures following the attack.
A Security source in the city told KUNA that the blast targeted militias with an improvised vehicle which left one killed and another severely injured.
An investigation on the incident was open, while the municipal council announced extra security measures in the city as result of the attack.
Among such measures are prohibiting cars that do not belong to the state from entering the city, unless in extreme cases with taking extreme high security measures in this regard.
The attack is considered the first in Misrata, a stronghold of opposition Fajr Libya forces who are against internationally-recognized Abdullah Al-Theni government. (end) nam.mb
