Three persons injured in fire in oil workers housing facility - KOC

KUWAIT, March 6 (KUNA) -- Three people were injured in a fire that broke out Friday in a housing facility of a company managing drilling operations in Al-Maqwa area, south of Kuwait, the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) said.
The fire, which was fully controlled, injured three workers who were rushed to hospital, said Saad Al-Azmi, KOC's spokesman and Deputy CEO for Administrative and Financial affairs.
The injured, whose nationalities were not disclosed, were in a stable condition, he added.
Al-Azmi told KUNA the fire broke out in a tanker while it was filling the fuel tank at the housing facility of the drilling location at 6:40 p.m. (1540 GMT).
He said an investigation has been opened to know the causes of the incident. (end) osj.bs
