Parliament's channel goes on air officially

KUWAIT, March 2 (KUNA) -- Director General of the National Assembly's satellite channel Abdul Hakim Al-Sabti announced here on Monday the official launch of the parliament's channel as of yesterday and the end of the experimental phase.
Al-Sabti said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the channel has succeeded in a short period of time in drawing a clear-cut policy of its work through various programs.
He added that the three-hour experimental broadcast period, had not lasted for long compared to other experiences, as the trial period only lasted five months, adding that the channel was officially launched earlier this month, broadcasting new set of news bulletins and social programs.
He stressed that the parliament's channel has a full set of talented and experienced Kuwaiti staff who are capable of achieving the goals and mission of the channel, referring to the diversity and multiplicity of programs broadcast throughout the week.
He stressed the channel's commitment to the security and regional dimensions and Kuwait's foreign relations, noting that the channel will continue to reflect the pulse of the public and be the voice of the nation. (end) sss.tg
