Bahraini Amb. to Yemen to resume duties from Aden

MANAMA, Feb 28 (KUNA) -- The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the non-resident Bahraini Ambassador to Yemen will resume his duties from the southern city of Aden to consolidate the constitutional legitimacy in Yemen represented by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and his government, currently relocated in Aden.
This step was taken as a result of absolute rejection to the Houthi coup d'etat and subsequent serious repercussions, the Ministry said in a press statement carried by the Bahraini News Agency (BNA) Saturday. The Ministry affirmed that this comes in line with the unified GCC countries' stance towards the developments in Yemen, the final communiquأ© of the GCC Ministerial Meeting, held on 14 February 2015, and in compliance with the UN Security Council's Resolution 2201.
The move is also a part of the efforts exerted to restore security and stability in Yemen through the implementation of the GCC initiative and its mechanisms, the outcome of the National Dialogue and the political transition agreed upon by regional and international communities, it concluded.
