RIYADH, Jan 10 (KUNA) -- Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Abdullatif Al-Zayani has denounced a statement by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on the conditions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In a press statement here on Saturday, Al-Zayani considered the remarks by Hezbollah Secretary- General "explicit incitement to violence seeking a sectarian rift and sowing seeds of division among people of the Kingdom." "In his last statement, Nasrallah exceeded interference in the domestic affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain to a desperate attempt to destabilize social peace of the Kingdom as well as threatening its security and stability, which will never take place," Al-Zayani stressed.
He emphasized in that respect the awareness of the Bahraini people and their keenness to maintain the development gains achieved under King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
A citizen being investigated by the Bahraini prosecution is "a pure Bahraini affair: Neither Nasrallah nor whosoever, that do not wish good for Bahrain and its people, has the right to interfere." he concluded. (end) yms.msa
