Bahrain, Jordan monarchs discuss ties, regional issues

MANAMA, Dec 20 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa discussed with visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan ways of boosting relations between the two countries, as well as the developments on regional and Arab arenas on Saturday.
King Hamad welcomed King Abdullah II's visit as indicative of the depth of distinctive ties between the two kingdoms, and embodiment of the long history of coordination on official and popular levels, the Bahraini Royal Court said in a statement carried by Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
For his part, King Abdullah II congratulated the Bahraini King on his country's National Day and the 15th anniversary of his accession to the throne.
Meanwhile, the two leaders affirmed keenness on strengthening bilateral relations and bolstering joint cooperation between the two countries and people, expressing utter satisfaction towards development of these relations in all fields.
They also discussed latest Arab developments, including ongoing efforts to counter terrorism and radicalism in order to maintain security and stability of the region and people of the region.
The discussions also touched on the latest Arab developments and the need to consolidate solidarity between all Arab countries in order to meet their ambitions for security and peace amid mounting challenges. (end) mga.ma
