KUWAIT, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah departed Kuwait early on Saturday, flying to Egypt where he would head an official delegation at the extraordinary session of the Arab League ministerial council scheduled in Cairo later today.
The minister will also chair a meeting of the Arab peace initiative committee, due on sidelines of the ministerial meeting. It will be attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas who will give a briefing about latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause and Israel's practices in Jerusalem.
The minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled is accompanied by a number of ministry officials.
The Arab League had announced the extraordinary meeting would follow up on implementation of previous resolutions regarding the Palestinian issue, Israeli hostile acts in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, Israeli settlements' question, Arab national security and combating terrorism. (end) mmb.rk
