Nidaa Tounes party underscores necessity of security strategy to combat terrorism

TUNIS, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- Tunisia's Nidaa Tounes Party, which won the majority of the country's parliamentary elections last month, on Friday underscored the necessity of formulating a comprehensive security strategy in collaboration with different regional and international parties to combat terrorism and organized crimes.
In a document released by the party outlining the principles and goals of its foreign policy, Nidaa Tounes, assigned to form the government, said the foreign policy would be based on an "active diplomacy" to serve democracy and development.
The document noted that the priorities of the new government's foreign policy will be promoting moderation, rule of law, commitment to international legitimacy and avoiding interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
It also aims to support freedom and the Palestinian issue and maintain security and peace the across the globe, notably in the Arab world.
The party went to say that the new government will seek to launch more initiatives aimed at enhancing investment and targeting most important partners in France, Italy, Germany and the US.
It vowed that the upcoming government will make major reforms in diplomacy by paying more attention to human resources. (end) nm.hm
