CAIRO, Nov 12 (KUNA) -- Egypt's President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi met Wednesday with members of a Kuwaiti cultural center, during which he warned of consequences resulted by the spread of extremist ideology in Arab countries, the Egyptian Presidency said.
During the meeting, Al-Sisi reviewed, with the president and members of the Foundation of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain's Prize for Poetic Creativity, his country's vision in combating extremism and terrorism, noting that the Egyptian vision is not limited to security and military confrontation, but it also reaches social and economic dimensions, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Yousef said in a press statement.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti side confirmed the Kuwaiti people's stand by Egypt, as well as their full support of its army and policies in fighting terrorism, stressing importance to consolidate all Arab efforts to eradicate the extremist ideology and its sources through promoting positive Arab ideology, upgrade Arab schools' curriculums, and redirect the religious speech towards the true Islamic approach, which promotes peaceful principles and values.
The two sides also discussed bolstering economic ties between the two countries as the Kuwaiti visitors expressed aspiration to increase their investments in Egypt, praising recent major developments in the North African country as far as level of services and the government's performance.
