Kuwait, Azerbaijan to cooperate in youth and sports

BAKU, Oct 30 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah said Kuwait is eager to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan in every field.
Kuwait is also working on developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the sector of youth and sports, Sheikh Salman told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday during his meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Azad Rahimov.
The Kuwaiti Minister, who also met with the country's President Ilham Aliyev, praised Azerbaijan's successful organizing of the first Global Forum on Youth Policies, also expressing his admiration of the attention the hosting country is paying towards this segment of the society.
Rahimov on his part said that both his country and Kuwait could cooperate in the UN and other international organizations. He stressed that the two countries must execute the cooperation agreement signed between their ministries of youth and sports in 2010.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev, who also met with Sheikh Salman during the forum, called on Kuwaiti companies to participate in the Baku International Travel and Tourism Fair, to be held next April.
Sheikh Salman invited Garayev to visit Kuwait in the future, also proposing that Azerbaijan shoot documentary films on the country's main attractions and historical sites, to be broadcasted by Kuwait Television.
In the same context, the Kuwaiti Minister also met with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitri Boulatov, to share experience in the field. Boulatov presented his country's programs to resolve youth's issues including housing, job opportunities and education.(end) as.tab.ag
