DUBAI, Sept 27 (KUNA) -- Gitex Shopper 2014, Middle East's largest consumer IT and electronics retail show, kicked off at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Saturday.
Director General of Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Helal Saeed Al Marri, gave the go-a-head to the September 27-October 4 fair.
Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre, organiser of the event, said that the fair displays 30,000 products offered by leading retail companies and big world names in electronics.
The fair offers smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs, wearable technology, flying cameras and a myriad of weird and wonderful gadgets and gizmos, she added.
LohMirmand expected this year to be the biggest edition of GITEX Shopper, "with a number of incredible products, new launches and discounts. There is so much on offer for visitors, it really is the one-stop-shop for all your electronic needs". (end)
