EasyJet to purchase 27 current generation A320

PARIS, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- EasyJet has submitted an order to purchase over 27 current generation A320 aircraft for delivery between 2015 and 2018, raising planes to 315, Airbus Company said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, EasyJet Chief Executive Carolyn McCall said this new profitable opportunity in aviation for the long run pushes us to expand our fleet in cooperation with Airbus.
Meanwhile, Airbus Chief Executive John Leahy said that EasyJet Company is a permanent customer, adding the new demand reflects EasyJet's confidence in A320 generation that provides comfort and efficiency.
EasyJet is one of the largest companies in the UK and has one of the most expanding networks in Europe. It carries more than 00 million passengers yearly.
EasyJet and Airbus signed an agreement to purchase 135 Airbus planes at a cost of euro nine billion. It was one of the largest bargain last year. (end) amm.hm
