Arab League chief meets UN envoy to Syria

CAIRO, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Araby on Sunday discussed with the UN Special Envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura the latest developments in Syria.
During the meeting, they also tackled efforts made to find a final solution to the current crisis in Syria, in addition to ways of combating terrorism, a statement said.
They also reviewed the results of Mistura's recent visit to Damascus where he had met with Syrian officials.
The UN envoy arrived in Cairo on Saturday as part of his tour in the region in order to reach a solution to the Syrian crisis.
On his visit to Damascus, Mistura stressed that he would work hard with all parties inside and outside Syria in order to find a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis and try to find ways to counter terrorism. (end) mfm.aff.ss
