Parl't Speaker holds high His Highness the Amir's naming as a "Humanitarian Leader"

KUWAIT, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim on Monday held high His Highness the Amir's naming by the UN as a "Humanitarian Leader" as recognition to His Highness's international role in many regional "hotbeds".
"His Highness chose for Kuwait the path of humanity and relief to ease suffering of people caught in 'hot' conflict zones, and used as a fireball to fuel the political game," Speaker Al-Ghanim said in a press release on the occasion.
"This what happened in the Syrian file, with the top priority of His Highness the Amir is to alleviate suffering of the Syrian people." Congratulating His Highness on the naming on behalf of all MPs, Al-Ghanim said the honoring, as well as designating Kuwait as a "humanitarian center" crowned Kuwait's policy as a role model for balance and wisdom.
The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is to confer the title to His Highness the Amir at the UN headquarters in New York in an official ceremony tomorrow (Tuesday). (end) rkf.hb
