LONDON, Aug 30 (KUNA) -- Stoke City snatched a 1-0 victory over the defending champions Manchester City in the Premier League season at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
In the 57th minute, Senegalese striker Mame Biram Diouf scored the solo goal, while the plan of Manchester City did not help their three strikers change the results in favor of the hosts;
City has so far the fourth position in the competition with six points.
In the same competition, Manchester United drew 0-0 with Burnley.
In the first match, United was defeated at home by Swansea City 2-1 and got a 1-1 draw with Sunderland.
In other games today Newcastle United and Crystal Palace secured a 3-3 draw, while Southampton beat West Ham 3-1 at home. (end)
