Pakistan observes 'Day of Mourning' in solidarity with Palestine

ISLAMABAD, July 25 (KUNA) -- Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif announced the nation would observe 'Day of Mourning' on Friday across Pakistan to show solidarity with Palestine, according to an official press release.
A statement by the premier's office said the prime minister "Sharif has announced Friday July 25 as a day of mourning to show solidarity with the innocent people of Gaza who have been subjected to terror and war crimes by the state of Israel." It further said, "The Prime Minister has ordered to contribute one million dollars in UN flash appeal for Gaza Palestinians." Earlier on Thursday, Pakistan called for an immediate end to the aggression on Gaza to allow humanitarian relief to reach Palestinians as the death toll in the besieged territory rose to more than 800.
