Al-Sisi, US envoy discuss violence in Libya, Sahel

CAIRO, July 15 (KUNA) -- Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi received Tuesday a telephone call from UN Special Envoy for the Sahel Romano Prodi and discussed the latest developments in both Libya and the Sahel.
Al-Sisi and Prodi discussed the recent bombardment of Tripoli International Airport and its passive reflections on Libya, Egyptian presidency spokesman Ambassador Ihab Badawi said in a statement.
Both sides agreed that the international community should cooperate to combat terrorism in order to lessen its destructive effects on countries and peoples, he added.
Al-Sisi stressed that those countries which support terrorism will be harmed by it and this needs a serious stance from peace-loving countries in order to eliminate that danger, he added. (end) smgh.asm.hm
