Third Ramadan Wushu Kungfu tournament kicks off

KUWAIT, July 10 (KUNA) -- The Third Ramadan Wushu Kungfu tournament kicked off here on Thursday night with 110 athletes, males and females from ten sporting clubs, taking part.
The competitions of the annual event, being organized by the Wushu Kungfu committee of Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, will continue until July 13, head of the organizing committee Nasser Alloghani told KUNA.
"This year's event drew unprecedented number of participants which signals the growing popularity of the game among both sexes in the country," he pointed out.
"It takes place at the Kuwaiti Union of Judo and Taekwondo, he said, commending the role of the Union in promoting the martial arts in Kuwait. (end) fsa.hb.gb
