Canada trounces Kuwait 91-0 in American Football U-19 World Championship

KUWAIT, July 8 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti national team has suffered a heavy defeat from Canadian team, losing 0-91, in its showdown in the American Football U-19 World Championship, which kick off here Monday under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The Canadian team, which defends the championship's title, has dominated the four quarters of the game held at Al-Nasr Sports Club. Host country Kuwait trailed 50-0 at halftime before eventually losing 91-0.
Thus, Canada topped the group with two points followed by Austria which defeated France 24-7 in the group's opener. Kuwait is at the bottom of the group preceded by France.
In second group, the Japanese team beat German team 48-20 and the US team crashed Mexican counterpart 49-14.
