Egypt denies new coronavirus cases

CAIRO, April 27 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Minister of Health Dr. Adel Adawi Sunday denied new coronavirus cases in the country other than the patient who was infected with the virus but was in stable condition.
At a news conference, Adawi said the coronavirus patient was reacting positively to antibiotics.
He said the higher committee for influenza viruses has adopted a number of measures including an awareness campaign about the nature of the coronavirus and how to avoid it.
Adawi said early detection of the virus would largely contribute to treatment.
The minister said the number of people infected with coronavirus might increase because of the approaching season of Umra (mini-pilgrimage) and Hajj (pilgrimage) in Saudi Arabia.
He added the ministry would educate the pilgrims on how to act in case of noticing symptoms of the disease. (end) esm.bs
