Bus collision kills 32 in S. Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, April 20 (KUNA) -- At least 32 people were killed and over 15 others were wounded when a trailer and a bus collided on the National Highway near Sukkur city in southern Pakistani province Sindh early Sunday, police said.
The bus was traveling from Dera Ghazi Khan to Karachi when it collided with a trailer coming from the opposite direction, police said, noting that among the deceased were women and children. Police and rescue teams immediately reached the scene for rescue. They cut through the wreckage of the bus to take the injured people out.
The province's Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, in statement, expressed his sorrow over the unfortunate incident and ordered the authorities to provide best medical facilities to the victims.
The dead and wounded were shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate medical treatment where many of the injured were reported in a critical condition.
