KUWAIT, April 16 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir of Kuwait's International Shooting Grand Prix will be held over three days at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex on Thursday.
The head of both the Arab and Kuwaiti governing shooting bodies Duaij Al-Otaibi, in a statement on Wednesday, expressed his gratitude for His Highness the Amir's backing of the sport of shooting and other sports in the country.
Organisers have completed their preparations for the tournament, he added.
On the prospects of local shooters, he said that they will be looking to showcase their best form on their home ground.
The event's closing ceremony will be held in the presence of Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, who will be attending on behalf of His Highness the Amir.
The event will consist of the disciplines of skeet, trap, double trap, pistol and shotgun, along with archery. (end)
