Mobile Learning should be utilized to enhance educational experience - Educator

DUBAI, April 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwait should utilizes Mobile Learning to enhance the educational experience in the country, Education manager at the Ministry of Education announced here Friday.
Dr. Saleh Abdulraheem Al-Saeed, who is also Deputy Chairman of the International Network of Muslim Educational Researcher, made this remark at Dubai's Second Mobile Learning Conference that kicked off on Thursday.
Mobile Learning focuses on learning with mobile devices. It is defined as "learning across multiple contexts, through social and content interactions, using personal electronic devices;" with the use of mobile devices, learners can learn anywhere and at any time.
Al-Saeed pointed out that integrating Mobile Learning in the educational process would solve many issues such as shortage of staff and over-crowded classrooms. He also added that Mobile Learning provides an attractive learning environment that allows students to develop highly advanced thinking skills.
Dubai's Second Mobile Learning Conference is organized by Higher Colleges of Technology. The event is attracting many international and Arab experts in the fields of E-Learning, instructional designers, training managers, educators and students.
Topics of the conference will include mobile learning, big data, learning by doing, open educational resources, Arabic educational technology and the flipped classroom. Workshops will focus on hands-on and practical applications of mobile learning. (end) hny.nbs.nfm
