KUWAIT, April 10 (KUNA) -- Public Prosecutor Dherar Al-Asousi on Thursday ordered that investigation into the case of "a purported recorded tape condemning some persons of plotting to topple the ruling system and contesting rights and jurisdictions of His Highness the Amir be held secretly."

The Public Prosecutor has ordered that the investigation in this case be held secretly and banned broadcasting any news or information about the investigation via the press, the audio-visual media and electronic networks.
The Public Prosecution will inform the media about results of the investigations into this case immediately after they end.
Prosecutor Al-Asousi indicated that he has taken this decision with respect of the current the investigations in response to the relevant libel suit about tweeted remarks on the internet.
The tweeted remarks dealt with a record tape including information and data, condemning some individuals for conspiring to topple the ruling system in the country and contesting rights and jurisdictions of His Highness the Amir.
They also included rumors detrimental to the country's national interests, the prosecutor said, noting that the decision was taken for sake of preserving public interests. (end) amn.nfa.rk
