KUWAIT, March 24 (KUNA) -- Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa
Al-Thani and an official delegation accompanying him arrived in Kuwait on
Monday to participate in the 25th Arab summit, due tomorrow.
Sheikh Tamim was received at the airport by His Highness the Amir Sheikh
Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf
Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim,
deputy head of the National Guard Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah,
His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Arab
League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Araby, First Deputy Prime Minister and
Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Amiri Diwan
Minister Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, Ministers, senior commanders of the Army,
Police and National Guard.
Sheikh Tamim, in a statement shortly after his arrival, said the Arab
summit would be held in a "very critical" regional and international
circumstances, which required collaboration of efforts to address them.
Sheikh Tamim extended his greetings to His Highness the Amir and the
Kuwaiti people, wishing them further progress and prosperity under the
leadership of His Highness Sheikh Sabah.
He hoped the summit would bolster solidarity among the Arab countries to
face the challenges facing them. (end)
