ISTANBUL, March 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Zakat (Alms) House's 22nd symposium on contemporary alms issues continued for the second day here on Thursday, which is organized in collaboration with the Presidency of Religious Affairs in Turkey.
Head of the Zakat House media dept. Hamad Salem Al-Marri told KUNA that the symposium discussed several alms issues from all contemporary aspects as it addressed many modern technologies in collecting alms and goods, as well as ways of enhancing its sources, diversify spending services for alms sources, and increase capability of institutional performance.
Furthermore, Al-Marri lauded Kuwait's major humanitarian role, as well as its interior and exterior projects of supporting poor and needy people from all around the world, indicating also that Kuwait continues to be a pioneer among Arab and Islamic countries in the field of philanthropic and relief action through government and public organizations and institutions which extend helping hand and assistance to other people from various ethnical backgrounds.
The Zakat House conducts international symposiums once a year in several Islamic countries, aiming to cooperate and coordinate with alms institutions in the Islamic world, strengthen cooperation aspects among all Islamic countries, and give Zakat issue required dimension and media coverage.
