Chadian Ambassador in Kuwait Ahmed Agbash meets with Director General of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Abdulrahman Al-Oun
KUWAIT, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- Chadian Ambassador in Kuwait Ahmed Agbash said
here on Monday Kuwait plays a basic role in aiding countries hit by disasters.
Speaking in news remarks following a meeting with Director General of
Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Abdulrahman Al-Oun, he said the meeting
aimed to bolster and reinforce cooperative relations and coordination between
Chad and Kuwait.
He appreciated the efforts of the KRCS in delivering immediate humanitarian
aid to disaster-hit countries across the world with a view to easing out the
suffering of affected people.
In this context, he called for providing urgent relief aid to thousands of
refugees who have fled tragic events in the Republic of Central Africa to Chad.
On his part, the KRCS director general said his body was doing its best to
swiftly deliver humanitarian aid to countries hit by natural disasters. (end)
