NEW DELHI, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid and his
Sri Lankan counterpart G. L. Peiris in New Delhi held extensive discussions on
key bilateral issues including fishermen, India-assisted developmental
projects in Sri Lanka's Northern Province and prospects for enhanced economic
cooperation.
The two sides agreed to remain engaged to ensure that fishermen on both
sides can continue to pursue their livelihood in a safe, secure and
sustainable manner, the state-run All India Radio (AIR) reported on Wednesday.
The progress in trilateral cooperation on maritime security among India,
Sri Lanka and Maldives also came up in the ministerial talks, the AIR added.
