The General Assembly of Kuwait National Olympic Committee (NOC) named Sheikh Dr. Talal Fahad Al-Sabah
KUWAIT, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- The General Assembly of Kuwait National Olympic
Committee (NOC) named Sheikh Dr. Talal Fahad Al-Sabah as Chairman for a
four-year term and Obaid Al-Enezi as Secretary General on Sunday.
Eleven people were elected as members of board of NOC representing national
sport federations during a General Assembly meeting, attended by Haidar
Farman, an observor of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The board members are Ali Yusuf (fencing), Dekheel Al-Adwani (boxing and
weight lifting), Jassem Thiab (handball), Fahad Al-Hamlan (carate), Sheikh
Talal Mohammad Al-Sabah (table tennis), Dr. Fuad Al-Falah (swimming), Mohammad
Thallab (basketball), Kamal Al-Ayyoubi (volleyball), Khaled Al-Shemmeri
(athletics), Jassem Al-Huwaitan (tennis) and Nawaf Al-Duweesh (gymnastics).
The General Assembly approved appointment of four additional members: Dr.
Majeed Al-Musawi, Abdulwahed Khalil, Mubarak Al-Meseb and Mahmoud Abul.
The assembly members also named three honorary chairmen of the NOC and
three honorary members. (end)
