(With photos) SHARM El-SHEIKH, Egypt, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- Members of the General Assembly of the Arab Federation of Tennis nominated Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah as President of the federation for a third term.
At the end of the General Assemby's meeting, President of Kuwait Tennis Federation Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber expressed his appreciation for this nomination. Tennis in the Arab world, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber told KUNA, needs improvement at all levels to ensure the players get qualifications in international games.
He noted that the federation should work closely and constantly with other regional and international federations to achieve the desired goals to enhance the presence of this game in Arab countries.
He added more tournaments, such as the ones hosted by Qatar, Dubai and Morocco, should be held and more training camps should be set up to improve the performance of players.
On his part, Vice-President of the federation and President of the National Olympic Committee of Tunisia Mehrez Boussayene said that the nomination of Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber as chief of the federation would enable the game to grow and improve, on Arab and regional levels.
