KUWAIT, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State for
Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah hailed the
bilateral relations between Kuwait and Djibouti and noted they are constantly
being developed, in remarks while hosting an official of the friendly state.
The minister's remark came upon the banquet he hosted Wednesday evening in
honor of Djibouti's Minister of Islamic Affairs, Culture, and Awqaf Properties
Aden Hassan Aden. Sheikh Salman, who also serves as head of the National
Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL), stressed keenness to bolster
the cultural interaction and exchange in particular.
The minister hailed Djibouti's decision to be represented at the
inauguration of Kuwait's 38th International Book Fair by a delegation of
senior officials, headed by the awqaf minister.
For his part, minister Aden expressed appreciation for Kuwait's continued
support to his country in all areas of development since its independence. He
further expressed his country's keenness on further strengthening relations,
most particularly in the fields of culture, arts, and literature, as Kuwait
plays a pioneering role in this field in the region.
Aden remarked Djibouti is eager to take part in the next international fair
as well, as it highly appreciates the diversity and high value of the
publications on offer throughout the event and also recognizes the role the
fair and sideline activities play in bringing peoples and nations closer on
the cultural level. (end)
