TUNIS, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki announced Sunday
the extension of the state of emergency until the end of June 2014.
The president decided to prolong the state of emergency in Tunisia for
eight months, by issuing Presidential Decree No. 300, said a statement by the
presidential office.
Tunisia has been living in the state of emergency since the January 2011
uprising, which led to fall of former regime and security deterioration in a
number of areas in Tunisia, the statement added.(end)
