SANAA, Aug 5 (KUNA) -- A bomb exploded in front of a mosque in Al Mahwit
governorate, northwest Yemen, killing at least two worshippers and wounding 12
others Monday evening.
The blast took place in Marabedh village, Al-Tawilah District, when the
worshippers were performing the 'Taraweeh' (night prayers in Ramadhan),
according to a statement by the Yemeni Ministry of Interior.
The security services launched a manhunt for the suspected perpetrator and
cordoned off his home, the statement said, noting that the motives behind the
crime have yet to be known. (end)
